The double room I stayed overnight was only OK on the money I paid for it (90 euros). The room is not big but clean. The bathroom are quite spacious and warm (with heated floor). The hotel personnel are welcoming and very helpful.
One thing I don't like is that there was no erthenet connection in the rooms. You can only use the T-Mobile hotspots in the neighborhood. The hotel sells the T-Mobile cards for you to access the WiFi. However, I didn't buy any of those cards so I cannot say about the signal and speed. A another big down for my room is that it is not noise-proof. I could hear a couple talking and walking in the next room. They probably would hear me if I had talked and walked as loud as they were. I expect a quiet room from a 4-star hotel, but I was disappointed.

I thoroughly enjoyed the hotel, it's wonderful and perfectly fine and the location is unbeatable in a quiet area. Location: the venue was really close to the centre, all the markets and the restaurants. A lot of restaurants to eat close by, like Klemm's Smoke Haus that was only 5 minutes' walk away. Food was good and I have nothing but perfectly pleasant memories from this trip.

The rooms at Grand Hotel Voncken are individually decorated with modern and functional furnishings, making them feel cozy and inviting. As a business traveler, I really appreciated the comfortable seating area, perfect for relaxing after a busy day.
Subjectively, I found the view of the castle ruins from some rooms to be less appealing. However, I can acknowledge that others might still find enjoyment in it.

The rooms at Grand Hotel Voncken are individually decorated with modern and functional furnishings. I loved how each room had its own unique charm and style, making my stay feel personalized and cozy. The comfortable seating area was perfect for relaxing after a long day of exploring Valkenburg aan de Geul. The air conditioning in the rooms provided a much-needed respite from the summer heat. And let's not forget the deluxe rooms with their luxurious marble bathrooms – a truly indulgent experience!
Personally, I found the view of the castle ruins from some of the rooms to be a bit underwhelming. However, I understand that others may still find it enjoyable and appreciate the historical aspect.
